The real estate developer Livory has awarded the general contractor contract for the residential development project on Schonensche Straße in the Berlin district of Pankow to Schrobsdorff Bau AG.
Schrobsdorff Bau AG prevailed in a competitive tender process for the realization of the project. With this decision, Livory has secured an experienced, long-established Berlin-based construction company to deliver the residential development.
A total of 140 modern rental apartments with a total living area of approximately 7,140 m² will be built on the roughly 2,600 m² site. The plans include seven above-ground floors, including the ground floor, as well as an additional three-story garden house. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
Preparatory measures to clear the construction site have already been carried out, including necessary tree felling. The next phase of project implementation will begin in March 2026 with the demolition of the existing buildings.
“With the appointment of Schrobsdorff Bau AG, we are laying the foundation for the timely and high-quality execution of our project on Schonensche Straße. We are pleased to now enter the realization phase and to create urgently needed housing for Berlin,” says Simon Hübner, Managing Director – Development, Finance & Operations at Livory.
The buildings will be constructed to the Efficiency House 40 standard. A DGNB Gold certification is planned for the front building, and the corresponding sustainability requirements will be implemented for both buildings. The heat supply will be fossil-free, using air-source heat pumps, complemented by photovoltaic systems, green roofs, and a rainwater management system.
